Gastronomy by the Bay took place in the San Francisco Ferry Building our Labor Day Week End 2007. The Festival brought together the global, high-end culinary actors to exchange new ideas and to celebrate the global influence of local food and wine movements, regional cultures and locally-grown products, from the French provinces to the rich California valleys.

This Proclamation of The Honorary Gavin Newsom, Mayor of San Francisco, was delivered in San Francisco, California on August 31st, 2007 by Mister Thomas E. Horn, Chairman of the San Francisco-Paris Sister Committee to Mister Michel Cloes, CEO of CCN-World and Founder of the Gastronomy Festival World Series.

Gastronomy by the Bay® was a unique and relaxed networking forum focused on international business opportunities in gastronomy. International star Chefs, Sommeliers, Pastry Chefs and other creative professionals as well as the new culinary talents under 35 met the luxury hotel business experts, bank investors, specialized lawyers, and the professionals from the wine and luxury Arts de la Table industries, in a quiet setting away from daily rush. Gastronomy by the Seine® (Paris 2008 and 2009) and Gastronomy by the Wall® (Beijing 2009) are part of the dynamics initiated in San Francisco.
 
 
The Festival in a historical venue! Gastronomy by the Bay in the Ferry Building
 
Gastronomy by the Bay® Festival hosted in the Ferry Building, one of the hottest spots in Northern California! In the heart of San Francisco Bay Area, this grand and iconic port built at the end of 1890s is not only the center of public life, but an upscale Gastronomy location where the best local chefs and producers gather around a table within the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. Recently restored, the Ferry Building is now the vital heart for Gourmet food amateurs and professionals.
 
In the Festival :
 
The Academic Part: Several Roundtable discussions were organized for professionals and opened to Gourmet amateurs, on topics such as The Current Waves in the Wine Industry in the world, the Future of Food Guides vs the Internet, and issues related to Sustainability and Bioynamics.
The Gastronomic Part: Renown Chefs have cooked an exceptional dinner, each one making their specialty. Moreover, during the whole Festival, they have refined their most original recipes in our Live Kitchen, presented to the public!
Ferry Plaza Market Place: With the numerous cheese, bread, chocolate boutiques and coffee shops, Delis and Restaurants, the Farmers Markets takes place twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, where the local and hand-made food specialty savors are jumbled in harmony.

International Job Fair: With the participation of the Top-10 international culinary schools and students from Europe and the US. On this occasion, Chef Culinary Network (CCN-World) from Paris has offered 20 international Scholarships to young brilliant students to help them develop their talent in serenity.
Specialized international press attendance (in particular France, USA) as well as renown editors and authors.
A special TV Show ’’ Meeting with the International Chefs’’ recorded by an American channel and a European Channel, outdoors, on the San Francisco Bay.
Renown Partners Hotel groups, wineries, luxury arts de la table companies, investment banks, specialized lawyers as well as culinary guides and publications editors.
Official Support The Festival was supported by several Embassies and Development Agencies, Chambers of Commerce, and was guaranteed an international media coverage.
 The Book Passage Bookstore has given you the opportunity to meet with the most renowned authors during their book signings every afternoon.
